Digital Accessibility Specialist (Hybrid)

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (PSERS) is hiring a Digital Accessibility Specialist for a hybrid engagement in Harrisburg focused on testing, remediation, and creation of accessible digital content.

The role supports WCAG and Revised Section 508 compliance across documents and web content using manual and automated testing methods.

• Evaluate and remediate digital content including PDFs, forms, and web pages.
• Perform manual and automated accessibility testing.
• Conduct keyboard-only and screen reader testing.
• Use assistive technologies such as JAWS, VoiceOver, and ZoomText.
• Create and maintain accessibility test plans and remediation reports.
• Track and report compliance status and testing outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams on issue resolution.

• 2+ years of digital accessibility testing/remediation/content creation experience.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG and Revised Section 508 standards.
• Experience with assistive technologies and automated testing tools.
• Understanding of usability principles and user-centered design.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Compliance with security and interview verification requirements.
• Government equipment must not be used outside the United States.

• Section 508 Trusted Tester certification.
• CPACC, WAS, CPWA, or equivalent accessibility certifications.
• PDF accessibility experience (including Adobe tools/platforms).
• Certified Document Remediation Specialist credential.
• Associate degree or equivalent technical training.
