Software Engineer III, Accessibility Infrastructure (People with Disabilities)

Google is hiring a Software Engineer III in São Paulo for its accessibility infrastructure efforts within the Products for All (P4A) mission.

The role focuses on tooling and platform development that helps engineering teams detect, diagnose, and remediate accessibility issues across products and services.

• Review peer code and enforce engineering best practices.
• Triage and resolve product/system issues affecting quality and reliability.
• Build tools that help engineers identify and fix accessibility issues in codebases.
• Write production development code and integrations with core internal systems.
• Contribute domain expertise through accessibility consulting and enablement programs.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Documentation/certification attesting disability status (role-specific legal requirement in Brazil).
• 2+ years of software development experience in one or more languages (e.g., C++, Go, Java), or 1 year with an advanced degree in industry.
• English communication fluency for global collaboration.

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Experience with software testing, system design, and developer infrastructure.
• Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication skills.
