Intern, Accessibility - Summer for the City

Lincoln Center is hiring an Accessibility Intern to support inclusive live performance experiences and disability-centered audience engagement during Summer for the City programming.

The role supports access services at events (ASL, captioning, audio description, touch tours), community outreach, and guest-facing accessibility operations.

• Provide onsite support for accessibility accommodations at performances/events.
• Support community gatherings for Deaf and disabled communities.
• Assist guests with disabilities during public-facing events.
• Help advance marketing/outreach efforts for accessible programming.
• Gather and analyze audience feedback.
• Help coach/train Access Ambassadors in guest experience practices.
• Respond to audience accessibility inquiries via phone/email.
• Research and propose improvements to access accommodations and creative integrations.

• Demonstrated interest in cultural accessibility, inclusive arts programming, and disability advocacy.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Collaborative approach with ability to work independently.
• Availability to work Wednesdays through Sundays, including evenings.
• Willingness to work outdoors in summer conditions.
• Cover letter required with statement of interest and relevant accessibility motivation.

• Experience supporting guest services or accessibility in arts/cultural environments.
• Experience with Deaf/disability community engagement.
• Comfort with event operations and audience support in live performance settings.
