Senior Accessibility Manager

Commonwealth Bank is hiring a Senior Accessibility Manager (6-month fixed term) to improve accessibility across core digital banking experiences, primarily NetBank.

The role sits within the digital accessibility team and partners with product/design/engineering to embed accessibility throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Review Figma designs through an accessibility lens.
• Define accessibility build requirements for engineering implementation.
• Perform WCAG 2.2 AA conformance and assistive technology testing/sign-off for new and updated web experiences.
• Collaborate with accessibility specialists to ensure consistency of guidance and delivery approach.
• Support accessibility quality uplift across digital platform changes.

• Significant specialist digital accessibility experience in cross-functional product environments.
• Extensive practical use of assistive technologies across desktop and mobile platforms.
• Deep knowledge of WCAG 2.2 and WAI-ARIA.
• Ability to diagnose code-level accessibility issues and provide actionable recommendations (HTML/ARIA required).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Ability to work onsite in Melbourne office model for this role.

• Experience mentoring teams and improving accessibility operating practices.
