Web Developer (AZ Local)

Arizona State Parks & Trails is hiring a Web Developer (AZ local, hybrid) to support and maintain azstateparks.com and related reservation pages.

The role is focused on WCAG 2.2 accessibility remediation, CMS improvements, and collaboration with Tyler Technologies for platform-level fixes and releases. Contract duration is listed through September 9, 2026.

• Use accessibility tooling (Acquia Optimize / Level Access) to identify issues.
• Implement WCAG 2.2 A/AA fixes in the CMS.
• Resolve broken links/images and improve site quality/performance.
• Track and escalate issues requiring Tyler Technologies intervention.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendor partners on releases.
• Validate post-release functionality and monitor accessibility progress.

• Local Arizona candidate able to support hybrid work and occasional in-office meetings in Phoenix.
• Strong hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with backend/API integration (Node.js, SQL) and databases.
• Experience with Git-based workflows.
• Practical familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards.
• Ability to start and interview within required timeline constraints.

• Experience with Acquia Optimize or Level Access.
• Experience working with high-traffic public-sector websites.
• Strong debugging and cross-team collaboration skills.
