ADA Accessibility Program Coordinator

The Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice is hiring an ADA Accessibility Program Coordinator to advance digital accessibility across the agency. The coordinator works with the ADA and IT teams to improve accessible digital content, online platforms, procurement, and technology solutions while promoting compliance and inclusive service delivery.

• Coordinate agency digital-accessibility work with ADA, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Evaluate websites, documents, and digital content for compliance.
• Support accessible content strategy, governance, procurement, and remediation.
• Translate accessibility requirements into practical guidance for non-technical stakeholders.

Applicants need substantial knowledge of WCAG, ADA, Section 508, content strategy, content audits, governance, copywriting, and SEO. The role also requires project-management experience; PDF and Microsoft Office remediation; accessibility testing and analytics; familiarity with screen readers and alternative input; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA knowledge; and the ability to communicate technical requirements clearly.
