The University of Toronto Scarborough is hiring one contract writing instructor for 200 to 250 hours across Fall 2026 and Winter 2027. The instructor provides accessible, inclusive writing support to students with accessibility needs in partnership with AccessAbility Services, using writing-centre pedagogy, Universal Design for Learning, and customized learning plans.
A completed graduate degree is required, ideally a PhD focused on writing pedagogy or inclusive teaching. Candidates need university writing-centre experience supporting students with disabilities, customized tutoring-plan experience, small-group programming experience, knowledge of UDL and inclusive pedagogy, collaboration with disability consultants, and availability to work primarily on campus.
Second-language university instruction, course-based writing workshops, and teaching across disciplines are preferred.
